Australian january annual broad money up 103 pct

Australias broad money supply rose 103 pct in the year ended January up from a revised 96 pct in December the Reserve Bank said

This compares with the previous Januarys 139 pct

Within the broad money total nonbank financial intermediaries rose by 02 pct from a revised decline of 02 in December and a previous Januarys 08 pct increase

In the January year NBFIs borrowings rose by 95 pct from a revised 101 in December and compared with a previous Januarys 128

At the end of January broad money stood at 175866 mln dlrs dlrs from Decembers 174668 mln dlrs and a January 1986 level of 159453 mln

In the same period borrowings from the private sector by the NBFIs rose to 70389 mln dlrs from Decembers 70237 mln and the previous Januarys 64299 mln
